I never thought foundation would be something I'd become addicted to, I always thought it was boring and lipstick was definitely my thing; but recently it has managed to take No.1 spot in my make up addiction, resulting to a full drawer alone of foundations. So when E.L.F. cosmetics contacted me to review some of their foundations, I absolutely jumped at the chance. If you watch my YouTube channel you will know I buy from E.L.F. myself and love the company, especially when they do 50% off sales, check out my latest E.L.F. haul here.
The first thing, and a ultimate essential when wanting a perfect base is primer! Primer is made to prepare your face for foundation and prolong the wear too, some primers have addition properties, for instance, this Mineral Face Primer* £6.95 is multipurpose and has been developed to combat excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines to give a natural, long-lasting satin finish. This also comes in various shades such as clear, green, brightening lavender and radiant glow to further target problem areas.
The Flawless Finish Foundation* £7.50 is one I've previously used before and featured it in my E.L.F. Best & Worst Product's Video here and I'll have a Foundation Friday coming up at some point so don't forget to subscribe to be the first to see it! This foundation states to help prevent sunburn, restore uneven skin textures and tones as well as giving the appearance of visibly brighter skin with an oil free formula.
This foundation really excites me as I always use liquid products, so it'll be nice to try a powder formula for a change to see which one I prefer. Another exciting point is how the foundation has four sections with different colours in, meaning you can create your own custom colour that will match you all year long, talk about saving money! I received this Personal Blend Foundation* in the shade medium, there is a light and darker option available and it retails at £8.95.
Another foundation I've recently tried and loved, is the HD Mattifying Cream Foundation* £7.95 in the shade sand. If you have saw my E.L.F. Haul video then you will know I bought this foundation myself before E.L.F. contacted me so there will be an upcoming First Impressions video using the foundation I bought, but I'm so happy to have a back up now as this foundation is absolutely amazing for the price!
Have you tried E.L.F. products before? What are your must haves?
Remember, honesty is key.
These look awesome, I especially love the packaging on the Flawless Finish foundation! I love ELF x
